BrainJam
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 June 2026
BrainJam ("the app", "we", "us") is a daily puzzle game. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your choices. We aim to collect as little as possible.
Who we are
BrainJam is published by SP Technologies. Contact: surajsinhrathod75@gmail.com.
Accounts
- By default you play anonymously. We create an anonymous account identified by a random ID (a Firebase Authentication UID). No name, email, or phone number is required.
- You may optionally sign in with Google. If you do, we receive your Google account's display name, email address, and profile photo URL to identify your account across devices. You can sign out at any time from the Profile screen.
What we collect and why
| Data | Purpose | Tied to your account? |
|---|---|---|
| Anonymous user ID | Save your progress, streak, and stats | Yes |
| Google display name, email, photo (only if you sign in) | Cross-device account, profile display | Yes |
| Game results (which puzzles you played, solved/failed, attempts, time) | Streaks, statistics, leaderboards | Yes |
| Streak history (dates played) | Streak calendar and reminders | Yes |
| App usage events (screens viewed, games completed) — via Firebase Analytics | Understand and improve the app | Pseudonymous |
| Crash diagnostics — via Firebase Crashlytics | Fix crashes and bugs | Pseudonymous |
| Push notification token — via Firebase Cloud Messaging | Send optional notifications | Pseudonymous |
| Advertising identifiers — via Google AdMob | Show ads (with your consent where required) | Pseudonymous |
We do not sell your personal data.
Ads
We show ads through Google AdMob. In regions that require it (e.g. the EU/UK, California), we present a consent form (Google's UMP SDK) before any personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice later in your device's Google settings. Ads may use device identifiers as described in Google's policies.
Notifications
Notifications are opt-in. We never ask on first launch. You can enable a daily reminder and a "streak-saver" nudge in Settings → Notifications, and turn them off at any time. Daily reminders are scheduled on your device; we don't need the network to deliver them.
Data storage and retention
Your account data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) and cached on your device. We retain it while your account exists. Local data lives on your device until you uninstall or clear app data.
Deleting your data
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time:
- In the app: go to Profile → Delete account. This immediately deletes your account, streaks, stats, results, level progress, and leaderboard entries. (You may be asked to confirm your Google sign-in first.)
- If you've uninstalled the app: visit our deletion page, or email surajsinhrathod75@gmail.com from the address associated with your account. We will delete all data under your user record within 30 days.
Anonymized, non-identifying aggregate records (e.g. overall puzzle statistics) may be retained.
Children
BrainJam is rated for everyone but is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
Third-party services
We rely on Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging, Remote Config, App Check) and Google AdMob. Their handling of data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in-app. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
